I am almost through hatch #2 with this kit. I have been using a little giant incubator for the last year and decided to try the turner. Manually my hatch rates are around 80-90%. My first hatch with the turner i lost or had to put down over half my chicks. Without a fan kit you get hot and cold spot in the incubator. this can cause birth defects and dead eggs.

This is a great kit and I would recommend it to anyone. JUST DON'T FORGET YOUR FAN KIT!!

I use this produce and have an unbelievable 100% success rate. Just add water, adjust to 99 degrees, put your day old eggs in and wait 21 days. Just a note however. When you remove the egg turner three days before the hatch, the temperature will drop because the heat from the egg turner is not present. You need to sit and wait and adjust to 99 degrees and keep checking it for a few more hours. I came back to my incubator after removal and found the temperature down to 93 degrees. I adjusted. All of my chickens hatched at 22 days. The temperature drop resulted in the delay. (Posted on 8/2/10)
