Description More Information FAQ Instructions

This brooder makes it easy to monitor chick conditions at a glance and to raise large numbers of birds in limited floor space. GQF battery brooders with clear panels are ideal for displaying all types of chicks in feed stores. Lightweight materials mean lower shipping costs as well as easy handling of drop pans. A sturdy base with rugged casters and securely fastened brooders result in a solid stack which is portable even when full of birds. Only 65” high, all five tiers of brooders are accessible and drop pans and floors can be removed for cleaning while the brooders are stacked. Brooders are designed to bring normal room temperature up to desired temperature. Brooders do not have sufficient heat to offset a cold, unheated barn.
Includes 6 plug electrical outlet strip with 4 ft. cord. 110 Volt. Combined wattage: 1500W. Lids provided for all brooders. 10 attraction light bulbs included. TUV LISTED - This certification makes it perfect for use in classroom and laboratory settings.

GQF 0540 replacement parts

I bought 6 of these units a year and a half ago. Like them they work great for raising young birds. Here is the downfall. The wire floors are rusting out wires are breaking. Broken wires are puncturing the feet of the birds causing infection and death at unbelievably high rates. I have contacted GQF directly and they do not have replacement floors available right now. No option to order or reserve. I’m told to check back in 6 weeks and “maybe they will have some”. After spending this kind of money on multiple units there is no way to maintainer them. The only option given at this time was to buy a new unit at $1400 with shipping and assembly time invested. Basically throw away my other unit that all I need is a floor for. They quoted me $32 part number 0558 but I can’t order them. Very frustrated with this issue and will be going with a different manufacturer.
