We do not offer a different light color for the LayLight2.

Does your lay light have keep alive memory with the battery that is provided?
Yes the laylight 2 does keep the memory so long as it has a working battery, which is included with your purchase.

Does this come with a natural (soft) light?
It is a small bright LED light that provides the necessary amount of light to trigger a chicken's pineal gland to lay an egg. Putting it directly in the laying box area is also an option. We have found it to be effective in coop areas up to 50 square feet. It is a bright enough light to provide enough output for their needs, but if you can imagine shining a bright flashlight into a dark area, the light dilutes the larger the space is so it is not a harshly bright light.

Is lay light available in 12 volts
The LayLight actually operates on 12V DC power. But it comes with a power adapter so you can plug it into a standard wall outlet. If someone wanted to run this off of a 12V battery, that would certainly work. You would just need a 5.5mm barrel plug that could then be connected to a battery.

Is there a solar option for this?
We do not offer any solar options at this time, but this product has low power needs and can work with a solar set up.

How many watts does this draw? I'll need to add a solar panel to my coop to use this, so i need to know which one i need.
The unit draws just under 3 watts.

Works as it should! Have first version and second versions of the lay light. Both work everyday no questions asked. Perfect amount of light. Less than 1W of power draw from solar generator
I purchased this one when an earlier model I owned went out...This updated version has proven to be much simpler to program and is quite effective.
First unit stopped working and they sent a new one. So far it’s working well. Hopefully it helps my chickens lay more eggs.
Cute little light bit cheaply made and, after spending 2 hours installing it in my chicken coop and running the cords tightly away from the chickens reaching them, it didn’t work. It didn’t come one when I scheduled it to turn on. Now we can turn it on if we press one button but the screen stopped working as soon as I brought it outside and installed it. So not sure how it works and for how long it will work but it’s a pain that the programmable feature is not functional .
This was the best thing that I have ever bought for my girls! My egg production hasn’t gone down at all. The settings are very easy to figure out and installation was a breeze. Would 100% buy again!
Doesn’t give any where close to enough light
Works great ! I use it just to light the coop in the evening so the chickens will go up into the coop before dark . They were stopping on the ladder and I would have to move them into the coop before dark. After the light was installed they go right up, no problems .(8 weeks old )

Great product and customer service. Had an initial issue with the light and when I contacted customer service they were amazing. Sent out a replacement at no cost. I would highly recommend this site!
It was easy to set up. It was not as bright as i had hoped but it is accomplishing the goal of having more light in the coop to produce eggs during the dark winter months.
