Providing your birds with a small chicken coop provides them with safety and comfort.  Some small chicken coops have built in nesting boxes, for others you will need to install your own nesting box.  A nesting box will provide your birds with a comfortable and darker place where they can lay their eggs.  In a small chicken coop several birds may share the same nesting box.  

If your birds begin to eat each others eggs you can put ceramic nesting eggs in the small chicken coop to discourage them from pecking and eating their eggs.  Nesting eggs are fake eggs that will not break when birds peck at them.  Keeping your nesting eggs clean and looking like real eggs is critical to successfully stopping your birds from pecking and eating their eggs.
