Circulated Air Fan Kit for the Little Giant Incubator (Replaces 7200)
$31.99
Did you know that at any given time, the temperature in your Little Giant still air incubator can vary by up to five degrees from top to bottom and from the center to the corners? This occurs primarily because heat rises. Unfortunately, this temperature variation can have a significant negative impact on your hatch rates. This problem can be significantly reduced by installing a circulated air fan kit into your incubator. This fan circulates the air, which helps keep your whole incubator the same temperature. This can have a positive impact on hatch results. The more consistent air temperature also ensures that your thermostat is cycling on and off at the appropriate times, not just when the air around the thermostat heats or cools. Putting a fan inside your incubator is a great way to increase hatch rates, but it is not just as simple as buying a PC fan or a cheap fan kit. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind: Too much air circulation is bad for eggs, as it will dry them out. Think about it this way: there isn’t a fan blowing on eggs in nature. The only reason that an incubator needs the fan is to keep the temperature more consistent (like in nature). Beware of cheap kits, which often use high-speed fans. Almost all fans on the market are designed for cooling things, so they are made to move as much air as possible. This is not what you want. If your fan is too powerful it can overheat your incubator. Fans generate heat, and alternate fans are known to cook eggs. The direction the air flows and the positioning of the fan inside your incubator is critical to maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the incubator. Our fan kit includes simple instructions on how to do this. Miller Manufacturing has stopped producing the 7200 fan kit, but this kit can take its place. This item, along with the majority of our products, is covered by our Two Year IncuCare Warranty. Purchase today with no worries and experience the Little Giant Circulated Air Fan Kit for yourself. The only reason that an incubator needs the fan is to keep the temperature more consistent (like in nature). BEWARE of CHEAP kits. They often use regular HIGH speed fans. Almost all the fans on the market are designed to move as much air as possible. This is not what you want. If you get too powerful of a fan it can OVERHEAT your incubator. Fans generate heat. Many people have come to check on their eggs only to find them cooked because the fan caused the incubator to overheat. Highlights of the Incubator Warehouse Circulated Air Fan Kit for the Little Giant 9300 Tested & proven for the Little Giant Incubator to increase hatch rates Specially designed to move only as much air as necessary to keep the incubator temperature consistent Will not overheat your incubator!!! In addition, you get variation from the thermostat cycling the heating unit on and off. This temperature variation has a significant impact on your hatch rates. This problem can be significantly reduced by installing a circulated air fan kit into you incubator. Heat naturally rises, so you need to circulate the hot air from the hot spots to the cool spots for a much more uniform and consistent temperature and better hatch results. The Vrooder™, The Brooder Heater Plate with a View
$39.99 $60.99
Brooder Heat Plates are wonderful but they can take some of the fun out of raising chicks by keeping them hidden and out of sight. We’ve put the enjoyment back into raising chicks with the introduction of the Vrooder™, The Brooder with a View. You won’t miss any of the action with the exclusive Vrooder™ viewing port. This port allows you not only to see and watch the cute birds but also to help keep them safe (birds can get stuck in the middle of a traditional brooder plate and suffocate). The Vrooder™ simulates a mother hen keeping her chicks warm and cozy under her feathers. Keeping a constant temperature, using an integrated thermostat and heater. Traditional heat lamps consume over 6 times as much electricity as the Vrooder™. With the electricity savings the Vrooder™ pays for itself in a matter of weeks. A traditional Red Bulb uses 250 Watts constantly vs only 40 watts intermittently (integrated thermostat turns heater on and off as needed) As your chicks grow, simply raise the heat plate with the easy-to-adjust thumbscrews without needing to remove the heat plate from your brooder. IP64 rating means it is built dust tight and water resistant. Cleanup is a breeze, simply wipe down with a wet rag without worrying about damaging the internal components. The Vrooder™ can safely accommodate up to 30 baby chicks. Power Specs: 110 volts and 40 watts. Heat Plate Dimensions: 14.5”L x 14.5”W x 1”H. Assembled Dimensions: 14.5”L x 14.5”W x 12.5”H.
