This extension adapts the IncuKit XL to work for larger reptile incubators. Without this adapter, the fan stays on constantly. This adapts the wiring so that the fan and heater turn off once the set temperature is reached. This helps to keep the incubator from overheating when the set temperature is close to the room temperature. And it keeps the air from circulating too much, which would tend to dry the eggs out.

Many people prefer to build their own incubators. This is a fun do-it-yourself project. We’ve found that the biggest difficulty people run into while developing their incubators is finding a reliable heat source and thermostat. How to determine the appropriate size container for the IncuKit MINI: There are several factors that determine how much power will be required to heat your container up to the appropriate temperature to hatch eggs. The size of the container, how well it is insulated, the room temperature, and how much the room temperature fluctuates will all have a significant impact. The best way to determine if the IncuKit™ MINI is the right size for your container is pretty simple. Just put a 60-watt light bulb in your container (ensure it is thermally insulated since they get pretty hot!) and measure how warm your container gets. If it easily gets to at least 100 degrees F, then the IncuKit™ MINI should work. It is the user’s responsibility to determine if this product will generate enough heat for your container.

Plastic egg trays offer the most efficient system for gathering, spray disinfectant treating, and storing eggs. At the time of setting eggs, just remove the loaded egg tray from the storage area and place it on the incubator turning rack. The GQF No. 1500 and 1502 incubators are equipped with turning racks that will accommodate plastic trays to hold your eggs in place. Holds extra large eggs (Turkey, Duck, Jumbo Chicken, etc.). Each of the GQF No. 1502 turning racks will hold 2 extra large egg trays (54 eggs) for a total of 162 eggs per incubator. One tray per setting rack must be trimmed to fit GQF incubators. This Egg Turner Motor is perfect for cabinet egg incubator applications, providing very high torque (60 lbs/in) it can easily turn a variety of egg turner designs. The motor is 1 RPM (makes 1 revolution per minute), and it comes with a timer that can be programmed to prevent overturning your eggs.
