Humane Poultry Dispatcher- Wall Mounted
$73.99
This humane poultry dispatcher is a simple yet effective appliance. Attach to a wall, post, tree or beam. To use, insert neck of bird in U gap and pull lever down swiftly. This will break the neck of the bird, sever the spinal cord and form a cavity into which the blood will drain when the bird is hung. The appliance is not intended to sever the head of the bird and an adjusting screw is provided to regulate the gap for various bird sizes. This wall mounted poultry dispatcher is suitable for birds up to about 25 pounds (~10 Kg).
How to use:
Step 1 – Calmly hold the bird
Step 2 – Lift the handle up and then securely grip the lower legs of the bird just above the feet. Position the bird so the neck rests across the “U” resting area from left to right. The bird will usually calmly sit there.
Step 3 – Firmly and swiftly press the handle downwards until it stops as the bolt rests on the stopper and hold it in position. The bird will probably flutter and convulse a little bit but it will have been instantly dispatched and feel no pain.
Step 4 – Hang the bird by the feet so the blood and fluids drain into the neck and head cavity. Because of this you should little if any blood.
Step 5 – Process the bird as normal.
To set the unit to the right size, measure the gap that will be left once the handle is in it's fully pushed in position. Numbers are approximate and will vary based on the actual size of the bird.
Quail: gap of ~1/16" of an inch (bolt almost all of the way in)Chicken: gap of ~1/8" (bolt about half way in)Goose/Turkey: gap of ~1/4" (bolt nearly all the way out)
IncuKit XL Reptile Adapter Extension
$15.99
This extension adapts the IncuKit XL to work for larger reptile incubators. Without this adapter, the fan stays on constantly. This adapts the wiring so that the fan and heater turn off once the set temperature is reached. This helps to keep the incubator from overheating when the set temperature is close to the room temperature. And it keeps the air from circulating too much, which would tend to dry the eggs out.

Circulated Air Fan Kit for Hova Bator Incubator
$31.99
Did you know that at any given time, the temperature in your Hova-Bator still air incubator can vary by up to five degrees from top to bottom and from the center to the corners? This occurs primarily because heat rises. Unfortunately, this temperature variation can have a significant negative impact on your hatch rates.
This problem can be significantly reduced by installing a circulated air fan kit into your incubator. This fan circulates the air, which helps keep your whole incubator the same temperature. This can have a positive impact on hatch results. The more consistent air temperature also ensures that your thermostat is cycling on and off at the appropriate times, not just when the air around the thermostat heats or cools.
Putting a fan inside your incubator is a great way to increase hatch rates, but it is not just as simple as buying a PC fan or a cheap fan kit. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind:
Too much air circulation is bad for eggs, as it will dry them out. Think about it this way: there isn’t a fan blowing on eggs in nature. The only reason that an incubator needs the fan is to keep the temperature more consistent (like in nature). Beware of cheap kits, which often use high-speed fans. Almost all fans on the market are designed for cooling things, so they are made to move as much air as possible. This is not what you want.
If your fan is too powerful it can overheat your incubator. Fans generate heat, and alternate fans are known to cook eggs.
The direction the air flows and the positioning of the fan inside your incubator is critical to maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the incubator. Our fan kit includes simple instructions on how to do this.
This item, along with the majority of our products, is covered by our Two Year IncuCare Warranty. Purchase today with no worries and experience the Hova-Bator Circulated Air Fan Kit for yourself.
