Five Grow Off Pens make up the Battery. Includes base and swivel casters. When used in a battery, only one set of lids is supplied. The Grow Off and Holding pens are stacked and bolted together on a brooder base, which has ball bearing swivel casters for easy moving of the battery. (Same as Poultry Battery Brooder but without the expense of heating elements and thermostats.)

Approx. capacity to 4th week - 100 quail - 50 Chukar or Pheasants. Poultry Chick capacity - 100 chicks through 2 weeks.

How many chicks does this hold and up to what age?
A typical stacked grow off pen can hold around 48 chicks for the first few weeks, and then should be divided into two compartments to hold approximately 24 chicks each as they grow larger, as for the age of which you should transfer them it will depend on the breed.
