IncuKit™ XL for Cabinet Incubators
from $79.99
The IncuKit XL ™ is an all-in-one kit designed to be the heart and brains of a homemade cabinet incubator. It allows you to convert a cabinet-sized enclosure into an incubator! To make your own incubator, you can use anything from an old refrigerator to a custom built cabinet! Simply choose your enclosure and install your IncuKit XL™ unit inside. Pretty cool? Well, actually it's pretty hot and it works very well.
The IncuKit XL™ series has been redesigned to provide you with more options and versatility!
First, select which style of thermostat is best for you:
Basic Thermostat module: This is a standard on/off thermostat. This means that when the temperature hits a certain point, it turns the heater off and then back on full power once the temperature drops below a certain point. It will control the heater. This comes pre-set to 99.5 degrees F.
Advanced Thermostat module: This is a proportional thermostat. As the temperature gets closer to the target temperature, it begins tapering off the power to the heater. This provides more precise control and provides lower temperature variation in the incubator. This unit also has a count-down hatch timer and provides the option to control an egg turner motor, if you choose to use one. This comes pre-set to 99.5 degrees F
Second, select how many heater and fan modules your container will require:
The number of heater and fan modules will be determined by the size of your container, how well it is insulated and the temperature outside the incubator. The IncuKit XL™ can be configured with one or two heater and fan modules, depending on these factors.
Each heater and fan module will provide 125 watts of power. For medium size containers this may be all you need. For larger containers, you can add a second module to add an additional 125 watts of power.
Do determine which option is best for you, a simple light bulb test will help. Get light bulbs that will generate enough heat to easily warm your incubator to at least 100 degrees F. See how many watts are required and that will help you know which option to select.
The buyer is responsible for determining if this will generate enough heat for your enclosure.
Caution: this is an AC powered device that you will be mounting in your incubator yourself. You must use a great deal of common sense when dealing with electrical devices. Electricity is wonderful but can be very dangerous. Use caution, common sense and if in doubt, ASK AN EXPERT!!!
The IncuKit includes the following:

Product Description:
If you're serious about hatching eggs with maximum efficiency and success, this egg turner motor (110V AC, 1 RPM) is a must-have for your incubation setup. Designed for cabinet-style egg incubators, this high-torque motor (60 lbs/in) is engineered to provide smooth, consistent egg turning, which is critical for maintaining proper embryo development. Whether you're a hobbyist, backyard farmer, or commercial breeder, this motor ensures your eggs are turned at the perfect intervals to improve hatch rates and prevent embryos from sticking to the shell.
This high-performance 1 rpm electric motor is built to withstand constant use in demanding incubator environments. The 1 RPM rotation speed ensures that eggs are turned gently and consistently, reducing the risk of damage. The D-shaped shaft with a drilled hole makes linking to various egg-turner designs easy, ensuring effortless installation and integration into your existing incubation system.
This cabinet egg turner motor is also fully compatible with IncuStat Advanced & IncuKit XL Advanced, two of today's most advanced incubation control systems. This seamless compatibility makes it a top choice for incubator enthusiasts looking for a reliable, automated egg-turning solution.
Technical Specifications
Torque: 60 lbs/in
Rotation Speed: 1 RPM
Power: 110V AC
Shaft Design: D-shaped with Pre-Drilled Hole
Dimensions: 2 x 2 x 2 inches
Weight: 8.8 ounces
The most important feature of any egg-turner motor is its torque capacity. This motor boasts an impressive 60 lbs/in of torque, allowing it to handle even heavy egg trays easily. This high torque means you can use it for various egg sizes, from quail and chicken eggs to larger duck and turkey eggs.
The 1 RPM rotation speed is designed to provide a slow, steady motion that mimics the natural rolling of eggs under a hen. However, because one full revolution per minute is too fast for continuous operation, pairing the motor with a timer is recommended. It lets you control the turning frequency, ensuring your eggs are rotated optimally throughout the day.
One of the standout features of this motor is the D-shaped shaft with a drilled hole. This design makes it incredibly easy to attach to various egg-turner mechanisms, providing a secure and reliable connection that won't slip or fail during operation. This feature saves time and effort, making installation a breeze for beginners and experts alike.
This 110v motor runs on 110V AC power, ensuring stable, long-lasting operation without requiring frequent adjustments or replacements. The high-quality electrical components are designed to withstand continuous use, making this motor a durable and dependable solution for your incubation needs.
How to Install the Cabinet Egg Turner Motor
Install the Motor: Secure it within your incubator, ensuring it is properly aligned with the egg turner mechanism.
Connect the Shaft: Use the D-shaped shaft and pre-drilled hole to connect the motor to the egg turner. Ensure a tight fit to prevent slipping or misalignment.
Connect the Power Supply: Plug the 110V AC power cable into a reliable power source.
Set Up a Timer: Since this motor rotates at 1 RPM continuously, it is best used with a timer control that activates the motor at regular intervals (such as every few hours) to prevent over-turning.
Monitor Performance: Once installed, periodically check the motor's performance to ensure smooth and consistent egg turning.
