AutoCoop™
LayLight Programmable Coop Light

The LayLight is a high efficiency LED light for your chicken coop.  This will provide the extra light your hens need to continue laying eggs into the Winter months.  As daylight decreases, chickens naturally decrease the number of eggs they lay.  To continue laying through the Winter months, they need a little extra light so their internal clock tells them to keep producing.  This light also works to light up your coop on-demand if you need light at night.

Need a timer light for another purpose?  Also works great for sheds, barns or any other area where some light would be helpful.

Features:

  • Super bright, high efficiency, high output LED light
  • Dispersing lens optimizes light distribution
  • Easy-to-program timer (lots of programming options!)
  • Easy to mount
  • Simple plug-n-play set up
  • Also includes manual on/off button on the timer for on-demand light

Note: The LayLight is designed to be used inside your coop (or shed, barn, etc) where it will be kept from outside elements (rain and snow).  It is not designed to be used outside the coop and exposed to all weather elements.  Heat and cold are no problem.  But water is a no-no.  Also, the controller for the AutoCoop LayLight looks similar to the AutoCoop Door Opener.  However, they are NOT interchangeable.  The internal electronics are different.

Nice light

The lights works good. The instructions were wrong and made it harder to put to use. When I asked them about it, they said, oh yeah, we need to change that.

So damn bummed!!!!.. (update)

Paula in Alaska here….
Just thought I would post an update on my review for the laylight. I would have edited the last post but I don’t think that is an option..
Just received an email from Incubator Warehouse via Amazon that states there was a batch of deliveries with a reverse polarity wiring issue inside the control box. Here are a couple of pieces of that email:

“If the small white box containing the LayLight has a silver sticker with black printing, your unit is affected. (The ones that are not affected have no sticker at all on the small white box)”
“ All you need to do is reply to this email and let us know that your laylight has the silver sticker with black lettering and we’ll send you a new light”

It also states how to fix it…I however have chosen to not open the control box and resolder wires. I will be sending the unit back.

I thought it only fair to share how this situation gets resolved. Keep in mind I literally just got this in the mail yesterday and found out it didn’t work.
Thank you incubator warehouse for being so responsive!!

Works Perfectly!

I've used this for about a year, and I'm really happy with it! I do wish the solar power add on were a little less expensive, right now I use it on electrical power. But it does work perfectly, I have it set to give the hens a bit of light in the coop during those short northern winter days.

Review & question

Great Product!

Works great, but the better thing about this product is that the timer runs on batteries - so, if you ever lose power (needed for the light) it doesn't affect the start/stop times of the light when power is restored! This is an invaluable feature that most timers miss.
