What is the accuracy of this thermometer?
We recognize it is incredibly difficult to find thermometers that are accurate and match other thermometers. The IncuTherm™ Series has an range of + or - one degree for accuracy. This means if your Incutherm™ reads 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit the actual temperature can be between 98.5 and 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Will this probe of the IncuTherm Plus™ Hatch Monitor fit into the vent hole of the Janoel 12 incubator?
Sadly the IncuTherm Plus™ Hatch Monitor probe will not fit through the vent hole of the Janoel 12 incubator. However, you can place the whole unit on the inside between the side of the turner tray and the clear exterior wall. The IncuTherm™ Temp/Humidity Gauge also fits very well in the small area between the turner tray and clear wall allowing you to easily read the humidity levels and temperature.

Well, I purchased this thermometer to go along with the incubator heater from here as well because I wasn’t having good hatch rates with the incubator warehouse incukit heater. Well come to find out it was because it was frying my eggs!!!!!!! If the incukit heater says 100 which is normal for incubators it was running 103-104 degrees. Once I placed the inside thermometer in with the eggs it’s showing 4 degrees hotter. Well either way one is wrong and they are both incubator warehouse incubator thermometers. Take it as you may. I’ve learned a $180 lesson. Black Copper Marans at $60 a dozen 90% are dead.
Pretty good instrument, Its uses can be for more than just incubators. Like checking parameters in different rooms and containers if needed

I have had this same model in both my Hovabator incubators for going on 15 years now. I hatch about 150 birds every year on my farm. These little hygrometer/temp readers are perfect in every way.
One this spring lost the ability to display one digit after many incubations and brooders. I didn't hesitate to replace it with the same trusty one I have gotten countless poults and chicks I've raised with great success...because I had temp and humidity confidence. This is my go-to for as long as they will make them. In fact...placing my order for another today for my homemade proofing box. Thanks!

It does great for a while but eventually the numbers short out on the screen due to the humidity level required in the incubator.
These are my favorite thermometer/hygrometers. They are accurate and have greatly improved my hatch rate.
I use this in both my incubators for my leopard gecko eggs, we well as reading temperature and humidity within my reptile enclosures. Have always worked great for me and I will definitely buy more in the future.
I BOUGHT TO OF THEM AND SET SIDE BY SIDE IN MY INCUBATOR AND THE TEMPS ARE 1 DEGREE DIF, AND HUM. 1 READS 55 1 READS 65 BUT IT HAS NEVER EFFECTED MY HATCHING 90%

I run 2 GQF Sportsmans and got 1 to try it and it was SPOT on so i sent off for 2 more i put them all in same incubator to see how close they were to each other and there might be a 2/10 of a deg def in all 3 LOVE THEM
I compared this with other thermometers I know to be accurate and it is pretty spot on. And the hygrometer I compared to some separate wet bulb/dry bulb readings I had and it was very accurate as well. The humidity on this reads about 5 degrees higher than the reported temp of my 2 Hovabator Genesises; but it is the accurate one. Only issue: don't take the battery out if you don't need to; the pieces of metal that feed from the battery to the unit are a bit precarious and can break off or bend easily. Great customer service from Incubator Warehouse.
Very good product and very accurate
We used the IncuTherm with the Hovbator Genesis 1588 to get an extra reading on humidity during incubation and it was very helpful.
After the birds went to the coop, the little device helped us a lot in determining the overnight and daytime max and min tempertures - it was important to know and we would not have been able to find out otherwise: the IncuTherm can keep track of min and max tempertures and humidity since the last reset. Very helpful to protect our flock, not just for incubation.
