Still-Air vs Forced-Air: Which Do You Need?

Still-Air Incubator Forced-Air Incubator
How it works Heat rises naturally, no fan The fan circulates air for an even temperature
Best for Small first hatches, budget starts Consistent results, larger batches
Typical result Good with careful monitoring More reliable hatch rates overall

Most of our tabletop incubators include a circulated-air fan. If you're buying a still-air model, adding a fan kit is a low-cost upgrade that pays off in hatch rates.

Automatic vs Manual Egg Turning

Manual turning means rotating eggs by hand 3–5 times a day for the entire incubation period. An automatic egg turner handles this for you around the clock, which is critical if you're away from home or running longer hatching cycles. We recommend automatic turning for any serious hatch. All combo kits include an IncuTurn™ automatic turner.
